I have often said that God's angels are working overtime to keep us safe from harm, especially when it is not our time to die. I am blogging about my world around me as I see and experience it. I'm keeping a positive spin on it because I am looking for the good in this world. I've seen and heard enough negative during my day from many avenues; So I thought I would share an awesome report on God's supernatural intervention.

Over the weekend as my husband, my son, and I were traveling on Interstate 294 North to Rockford, Illinois on the Interchange. We were merging onto 290 West. The traffic was bumper-to-bumper and moving very slowly. Some of the motorists were making risky moves while trying to merge on through the interchange. I was thinking to myself, "This is why I don't like living in large metropolitan cities, the traffic is always the issue." As soon as I thought this, I heard my husband yelling, " Oh no! Not today! Not. To...day!"

I looked to see what he was talking about, and I saw a small car jumped out of its lane into the left lane of the merging traffic, with the hope of getting passed other drivers. At the same time when the driver of the small car made it's sudden move from his lane to the left lane, there was an eighteen-wheeler speeding quickly down behind it. The small car did not see it coming. Because the small car made an unsafe move against the eighteen-wheeler, the truck driver had to make an evasive move to his left, in order not to drive over the small car.

However, the truck driver's evasive move to the left caused the car in that left lane to be in danger of a crash. I believe in the power of prayer and God helping us when we call on Him as servants of God. In cases like these split second prayers are required, the power of prayer is amazing when you believe. I heard my husband praying out loud. He was saying, "Jesus, Jesus, with one hand outreached!" I was yelling, "No harm! No harm! Move to the other side without harm in the name of Jesus!" In times like this, it truly is the prayers of the righteous who are prevailing much for us. I don't know how many other believers of the Lord was traveling at the same time we were traveling, and at the same point of the interchange, which saw the following events. Nevertheless, I believe there were others believers present and praying.

The eighteen-wheeler driver got control of his truck. The car in the left lane pulled back to allow the truck driver to make a quick maneuvers safely, and the small car that started this chain of reaction, he never saw it coming or even looked back. Wow. The driver was totally oblivious to his unsafe move and that he was about to lose his life that day. Nor was he aware that he could have been the cause of someone else losing theirs life or serious injuries. During that incident, it seemed like time stood still for a moment because of praying people.

The stage was set for the perfect collision, followed by destruction and causalities. What was so shocking to my mind was that, if the driver of the eighteen-wheeler had not moved over at the risk of a lesser collision, his truck would have driven on top of the small car or plunged it forward into the traffic like someone kicked a sports ball.

I did not want to see anyone die or mangled that day or any day. I just wanted all of us to get to our destinations safely. The small car driver was impatient and because of it, he almost lost his life. Death did not come that day or the acts of mangling. Prayer was sent forth instead; prayer comes in all forms. But regardless of how it comes, I am over joyed for spilt second prayers. I believe because of our prayers for all involved, as we watched the incident unfolding from behind, the angels of God was keeping us all safe that day. God honored His servants' prayers in split second timing. What a mighty God we serve! Whether you believe in God's supernatural intervention in the affairs of mankind or not, it doesn't matter. What matter is, I believe. Therefore, because I believe and experienced the result of it, I am sharing what I saw. There should have been no way possible for the truck to have not slammed into that small car or even cause a side collision to the other car. But God... He shall give His angels charge over you; Jehovah Jireh cares for you. Expect a miracle today!
